When an adorable video of Otis tap dancing goes viral on the internet, he decides his destiny is to leave Texas to chase his dreams of becoming a famous entertainer in Hollywood.
He gets carried away daydreaming of having his name on the Walk of Fame, but first, he has to convince his mom to move out to Hollywood. He quickly realizes it takes a lot of hard work, passion, perseverance, and grit to make your dreams come true. Will Oti make it out to Hollywood? Follow along to find out!
Adopted from BARC Animal Shelter in Houston, Texas during the height of the pandemic, Otis is part Beagle, Dachshund, and Rat Terrier. From the beginning he was an actor - always getting his way by convincing you of his innocence when it was clear he had mischievous energy. His favorite things are his Star Wars blanket, doing zoomies on the beach, making friends with absolutely anyone he’s ever met, and FOOD. He is two years young and full of life.

When Stephanie Fernandez laid eyes on Otis, she could tell he had a personality that was larger than life hiding behind his giant gumboil eyes. She adopted him and their journey began. She used her background in Public Relations and Social Media to craft an online identity for Otis, and when a writing class project became a little too fun to imagine, she brought the idea to life with the help of her talented and insanely creative friends.

Alison Stephen is an artist and a storyteller. She has self-published three books and specializes in telling stories of hope and diversity with words and whimsy. In her spare time, she can be found surfing, drawing, or writing on the oceanside cliffs of San Diego.
